Dorayaki (どら焼き, どらやき, 銅鑼焼き, ドラ焼き) is a traditional Japanese confection consisting of two small, castella-like pancakes filled with sweet azuki bean paste. If you’ve seen Dorayaki, you’ll understand why I nicknamed this watch model after it—it’s all about the resemblance!
Now, back to the watch. I’ve equipped it with a sapphire crystal for enhanced durability, especially given its larger surface area.
The watch has a 42mm diameter, a size that some may find large and others small. In my opinion, it’s just right. The perceived size of a watch often depends more on the lug design than the actual case diameter. This 42mm model feels neither oversized nor cumbersome, thanks to its well-balanced proportions and thoughtful thickness. I’m particularly fond of the side profile—it’s a view that truly highlights its refined design.
