Tokyo Mule V1 #2 This specific piece was not meant to be for sale. It was built quietly, just two nights prior, with the intention of keeping it in my own rotation. A personal watch after one of my favorite Shiro Kara Vintage watch designs. But things don’t always stay that way. A personal friend reached out, asking what I had on hand. I showed him the Tokyo Mule V1, its the second of its kind to be made, not expecting much. Just sharing the Piece and there's that sold within seconds. The watch didn’t sit long enough with me. It went straight from my hands to his. I guess my pursuit to own a Tokyo Mule v1 model will have to wait another day 🍻

Inspired by the iconic 5513s of the ’60s and refined through the design language of the ’70s, this piece brings together influences from both eras while carving out its own identity through subtle, deliberate details.

The domed crystal introduces a warm vintage distortion, gently softening the dial and giving it the feeling of a watch shaped by time. Its layout stands apart with applied 3-6-9 indices a hallmark of explorer-style watches reinterpreted within a diver configuration. Familiar at first glance, yet unexpectedly distinctive.

The patina focused on the dial, adding depth and character, a subtle on the bezel. While the case, bracelet, and clasp remain clean and untouched for a sharper contrast between aged and modern elements.

Unlike the first unit of Tokyo Mule V1, which was fitted on a jubilee bracelet and now resides in Japan, this version is paired with an oyster bracelet, reinforcing its more restrained and purposeful presence.
