Commissioned Piece: Shiro Kara Vintage (SKV) ENMA

There’s a fleeting moment in the aging process, just before the bezel surrenders into a ghost fade. Stop there, and it rewards you with a rich interplay of different shades and colors. In this case, it’s a deep purple and worn silver—a finish that looks way better in person than my photos could capture.

The ENMA model draws its inspiration from the “SWORDSMAN” part of the first collection from Shiro Kara Watch Co. While it retains the same core design language, it is distinguished by its signature purple ghost bezel.

The watch features a hand aged dial designed to evoke the appearance of naturally dried water damage, complemented by hands finished with the same aged effect. It is housed in a 39.5mm vintage Sub-style case with a domed acrylic crystal, with all elements contributing to a cohesive vintage aesthetic.

While similar models can be recreated, no two Shiro Kara Vintage watches will ever be exactly alike. Due to the nature of the hand-aged patina process, every dial, bezel, and handset develops its own unique wear patterns and character, making each piece truly one of one.
