Commissioned Piece — Bluey Kuro

This timepiece features the Sakura dial originally created in 2023, recently rediscovered while going through old Shiro Kara components. The dial carries the discontinued Sakura logo, a marker that is now planned to return for Shiro Kara Watch Co.’s Season 2 dials featuring applied indices.

This specific commission was requested to remain as sterile and restrained as possible, with the aging focused primarily on the lume markers. The patina process used here differs from my usual technique; that being said, I am happy with the result as it embodies the request for a cleaner and more uniform finish. Featuring a creamy tone, along with a subtle effect that shifts in degree of light and darkness depending on lighting, angle, and shadow.

A balance of simplicity, warmth, and quiet character.
