Commission Piece: Ash Ketchum

This timepiece is a commission piece based on one of my favorite Shiro Kara models, the Samurai 369. What makes this specific piece unique is its hand-aged dial and worn brown bezel insert.

The warm aged tones of the dial, hands, and bezel come together to create an earthy, vintage aesthetic.

To achieve this look, I aged the dial with a deeper golden-brown patina and carefully aged the hour markers to a warmer tone than the other watches with the same dial, giving them a subtle amber-like appearance without overdoing the effect.

The result is a watch that feels warm, balanced, and naturally aged. That amber glow inspired the name Kohaku (琥珀), the Japanese word for amber.
